New Sequential Art

Here are a few pages of sequentials for an up and coming project. First are pages 2&3 followed by page 6

Incursion, the final page!

Here is the final page for the Incursion mini-comic I have been working on with Mike Sarrao. The cover is coming soon. Val Staples will once again be adding his talent for the color spectrum to these pages. I'll post them as soon as they are completed.

Girl on girl

Incursion Sequentials

Here is page 6 of Incursion. I'm having fun drawing a New York based detective mixed up in a superhero/alien conspiracy.

These are some dialogue panels in which our NYPD hero, Mercer is coming to the realization that he cannot compete with the future; a man made superhero by the name of Siege...

Mother-#@!$in' Sketches on a Mother-#@!$in' Plane!

Whats the best way to kill off a 5 hour plane ride to Las Vegas? Sketch Frenzy! Here are just a handful of sketches I threw together while flying out to visit my grandmother for her 100th birthday in Las Vegas this past weekend.

Unmasked Pages Colored!

Here are all 12 pages of the Mini Comic UNMASKED i worked on with writer Micahel Sarrao. Colored by Val "Saturation" Staples. ENJOY!

Some Sequential Stuff

Here is page 1 of my project with Oeming. Check it out!

OEMING COVER

Here is Mike Avon Oeming's colored cover for our project together. Everytime I think I am happy with something I draw, he goes and does something like this and makes me say, "crap, I still have a lot to learn" hahha. This cover is definitely bad ass, as will be the rest of the book. ENJOY!

Colors are once gain provided by Val Staples.

Unmasked Cover Colored!

Here is the cover to Unmasked, the mini 12 page comic I recently completed for Michael Sarrao, completely colored by Val Staples. More pages to come!

Pages 2&3

Here are pages 2&3 of Incursion...

INCURSION!

Mike Sarrao and I have begun work on our second mini-comic based on a screenplay written by Mike. The title of the book is called Incursion. Here is the opening page! All characters are (C) Michael Sarrao 2008.

Sketches Galore!

Here are some recent character designs and rough sketches for a project I am putting together with Mike Oeming. Oeming will be scribe of this tale and I will be providing art. the pitch goes out this week so keep your fingers crossed!

Wrapping up designs

More Design Work

Here are some further designs for Mike Sarrao. We will be putting together a 10 page mini-comic pitch for this storyline, much like the Unmasked project we are currently wrapping up. I had alot of fun on Unmasked and it is a great story but I have to admit I am hugely psyched about this project. More info and plenty more art to come! Each and every character is (C) Michael Sarrao 2008.

Spirit

Threw together a Spirit pin-up in my free time. One of my all time favorite characters and probably my favorite comic book ever.

New Project, New designs

Working on yet another project with Mike Sarrao (the man is the new house of ideas) so here are the first two preliminary designs for the project.

Pin-Up Alert!

Here is a pin-up I did recently for my friend Rob Reilly's new book, Imaginary Friends: SFU, coming soon from Viper comics. I've seen some of the pages and it is a really fun, stylized book. Rob will be coloring this final peice himself, can't wait to see it!

Support Your Troops!

Here is a sketch I did today for my Fiance's cousin who is serving over in Iraq. We put together a care package for him so I decided to spread a little cheer and added this in. To all the troops over seas right now: Come home safe, you do us proud!

JIM IS BACK!

Page 1 of Zombie Sama! 2. It has been a little over 2 years since I have drawn a new Zombie Sama! page. I really enjoyed going back to the first character I ever drew professionally. I always had alot of fun with this book and I absolutely can't wait to draw this second go around. In fact, I was so impatient that I started drawing this page without even finishing the script for the first issue. I am a little more than halfway done writing issue 1 of what I hope can be a 3 issue mini series. I think for the time being I am going to have to put the drawing for this book on hold and focus on the writing. I am swamped with other projects right now that need priority. But do not fear: YOJIMBO IS BACK!

MICE TEMPLAR PIN-UP COLORED!

Here is my pin-up for Mike Avon Oeming's and Bryan Glass' monthly series Mice Templar, colored by the ever impressive Val Staples. ENJOY!

Pencils Vs. Inks

Here is page 2 of Unmasked. First we have my pencils for the page, which as you can see are very limited. I usually rough in the drawing with the pencils and then finish the drawing with the ink brush and/or ink pen.

Unmasked Page 1

Mike Sarrao and I are moving ahead in the project with a ten to twelve page mini-comic of his teleplay idea, Unmasked. Future colors will be provided by Val Page. Unmasked and all related characters are (c) Michael Sarrao 2008.

Zombie Sama! Sketchbook cont'd

Did alot of sketching this weekend apparently. Here are a couple of designs for Jim and Suzy, our two love birds from Zombie Sama! and the upcoming sequel!
