ANTHOLOGY DESIGNS

here are some character designs for the @15 page story I will be writing and drawing for an upcoming anthology. Can't say much more about it but those of you who know me, know which character this is. I've been working on getting him out there since SVA.

In a comment left on a recent blog entry (JEN DESIGN, go check it out) the lovely real life Jen, in which Mike and myself are basing the main character for the book on, stated her disgust with our depiction of the character's choice of under garments. We constantly display the bad ass punk rocker female with her thong protruding from her low rise jeans and Jen (real Jen) has had enough! On behalf of myself, i would like to explain (and im sure mike would agree on this); We are guys! Not only are we guys but we are also comic book guys. We are victims of a world where all female characters are drawn bearing the skimpiest of outfits, showing off as much skin as possible, and even displaying a hard nipple where there is no cold weather or cool breeze to be found. Well I am going to put an end to it as of now! In Synergy you will find no protruding nippleage or thongs. There will be NO flesh bearing and NO provacative poses that may be misinterpreted From now on she will appear as follows. hahahaa I hope you can forgive us Jen, we love ya! p.s. i threw the tongue ring in, sorry i forgot it before.

hahah here is another attempt at the book mike and i are working on. Like i said before its been taking a while to get back in the groove of things and i feel like i am finally getting my bearings.

i finally have a couple of chances to get my own character that I have been developing since sva published. He will be appearing in an anthology book at the end of the year and I will also be pitching him to TokyoPop. Still working on a good design for the pulp style story that it is. So far this is the closest i've gotten to something I like.

gettin back in the groove

ive been out of the drawing game for so long that its been taking me a little while longer than i expected trying to get back into it. so heres a finished peice i threw together for a graphic novel idea im working on.
